This public opinion survey, conducted by Stony Brook University Center for Survey Research, highlights that Long Islanders overwhelmingly support pre-K education. Eighty-seven percent of Long Islanders said that it is important for children to attend a preschool for at least a year in order to succeed in school. Seventy-four percent also supported the use of public funding for voluntary pre-kindergarten programs for all families.
