After the Long Island Index’s 15 years of service, proving beyond doubt the importance of a regional index for Long Island, the Rauch Foundation (publisher of the Long Island Index) and Newsday announced the launch in April 2018 of nextLI, a digital community and toolbox to succeed the Long Island Index as the regional index for Long Island. Following are the names of the team at the Long Island Index at the time of the announcement. They deserve ongoing recognition for the crucial role that they played in demonstrating the importance of a regional index and setting the stage for the transition to nextLI.
